I’ll be honest, there are just some days that I don’t wanna leave the house. The thought of getting myself, my 2-yr old and my infant all dressed and presentable enough to go out in public exhausts me sometimes. Please tell me I’m not the only mom out there that feels this way
Today was one of those days.
So I decided to bust out the paints that J got for Christmas. I put her in my husband’s old t-shirt, pulled her hair back and let her go to town while the baby and I watched. Can I just say that I loooove my little budding artist! She was so careful and gentle with each stroke she made and loved feeling the paint between her fingers. I’m obsessed with how cute her little hands are. How she grabs on to the paint brush, how she carefully paints the inside of her hand and then stamps it on the paper. LOVE!
I didn’t wanna forget this time (it was our first painting day in the new condo) so I grabbed my camera and just started snapping.
Here’s our morning…

I love her little “concentration” face and how she holds on to the brush. Seriously, I’m obsessed..haha!

Our little painting session lasted all of 15 minutes. So I cleaned her up a little and we had a little snack and just hung out some more on the porch.
Being a stay-at-home mom is seriously THE BEST! I know it’s a privilege to stay home and raise my girls. I know there are lots of moms that would kill to be in my shoes, so I’m very grateful that God has blessed me in this way. Sure, there are days where I wish I could go to a full time job, only because I want to get out of the house, get dressed in nicer clothes than ‘park’ clothes and have adult conversations. But I would not trade this for anything.
Anyways…if I was at work all day, look what I would be missing…

Yep..my heart is melting. J ADORES her little sister and I’m pretty sure her little sister adores her too. J loves to hug on her, lay on her and pet her soft hair and say “tee-toe” (mom translation: “sister”). Gosh, I love these girls!
