Yeah, so it’s 5 days past April and I only used my iPhone to take these photos, but I promise I’ll make up for it in May!
We’ve had a pretty eventful month. My husband’s sister was in town with her family for a week and then my husband’s cousins stayed with us for another week. My girls have loved the change of pace. Staying up late some nights, eating at fun places and going to the pool a lot.
A few weeks ago, my husband’s sister came down to visit us and soak up the fabulous weather we’ve been having. It’s a nice change for them from the bitter cold up north. My girls ADORE their cousins. They play really well together and it’s fun to watch them grow up together.
My mother-in-law sent us a box with matching clothes for the girls, so we decided to do a little photo shoot because…let’s be honest…they looked ridiculously cute!
What’s a ‘Lifestyle’ photography session? (I get this question every once in a while) It’s probably my favorite session to shoot because it’s so relaxed for both you and me and the photos turn out so real and personal. I love seeing moms and dads make their kids laugh uncontrollably. I love the quirky things kids do. I love standing in the background (with my zoom lens) while everyone is busy being ‘them’. I give very little direction during the shoot as far as posing goes because I love the natural way families interact with each other.

I’ve had the very special opportunity of photographing so many milestones in this family’s life. Engagement, wedding, first born, first birthday and now the arrival of their second precious girl. I love them!
